The Comedown Installation at The Briggait, Glasgow

31st Oct 2014

I documented artist Stephen Murray’s large scale installation The Comedown for WASPS Studios at the Briggait. The installation itself is incredible sitting very comfortably in the grandeur of the hall, but the anticipation and excitement on the opening night of the riders going round the mini velodrome to drumming was exhilarating. Sadly, the last day you can see The Comedown is tomorrow 01st November.

Walled Garden Dwelling: Graham Mitchell Architects

10th Oct 2014

Had a great couple of days in Aberdeenshire shooting for an old friend from Graham Mitchell Architects. His reputation from uni days of paying attention to detail are evident in this beautifully crafted private dwelling. The building is on the grounds of a former orchard. The existing high crescent shaped orchard wall informs the design of the building, two crescent shaped volumes house different accommodation each treated differently to their individual needs. It was a joy to photograph, the palette of materials, abundance of natural light, choice of internal furnishings plus a very welcoming owner.
