Glasgow Film Theatre: NORD Architecture

6th May 2014

The GFT in Glasgow is one of my favourite venues and have always loved the Art Deco style building. NORD have recently finished the first phase of the works to re-configure the internal spaces, add a new Cinema and make for a better less congested visitor experience. Their choice of materials and attention to detail is stunning. I look forward to seeing the second phase completed and also experiencing first hand the new comfy seats in Cinema 3!

Reclaimed: The Second Life of Sculpture

1st May 2014

It was great to work with WASPS again, they are such a lovely team and this commission was to document their exhibition ‘Reclaimed:The Second Life of Sculpture’ as part of the Glasgow International Festival. It is housed in the Briggait an amazing space, perfect for the larger pieces although I’m not quite sure how they managed to get some of them in (The Spirit of Kentigern in particular). I hadn’t seen quite a few of the pieces before, so great to see them second time round, I did have a few favourites. Also took a couple of portraits of the somewhat bashful curators Michelle Emery Barker of Wasps, Martin Craig of GOMA, and Kate V Robertson thanks for their patience. Those who didn’t make the exhibition as part of the Glasgow International Festival tomorrow is your last chance to view the exhibition.
